JOB SUMMARY: The Informatics RN/Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for support in building applications and coordinating projects with Medical Center management, staff, users, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
– Plan, implement, design, maintain, support and
effectively use the EMR Point of Care systems technology solutions to improve the delivery of patient care and hospital operations
– Coordinate with all stakeholders and vendors to ensure optimum use of the systems

•This role will maintain the integrity of the Meditech clinical application modules including daily, weekly and monthly system requirements. Will work cooperatively with departmental management to insure optimal usage of the Meditech clinical application modules. Stay current with the MEDITECH HCIS upgrades and enhancements and maintains a strong working relationship with the support personnel at MEDITECH.
•Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in all interpersonal relations and promotes good relations within the hospital.
•Evaluates user needs and requests for information systems relative to current systems and available technologies and applications; establishes resources required for meeting identified needs.
•Evaluates work flow and recommends re-engineering of processes around utilization of computerized applications to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
•Participates in the development of the high-level and detailed project plans, project scope assumptions, project implementation and milestone dates for projects, system upgrades, etc.
•Conducts detailed initial needs analysis for each project, including integration with other systems, security, training and hardware and software requirements.
*Develops system documentation and user manuals for Meditech application modules.
•Evaluates problem situations in-depth, arrives at independent conclusions and coordinates problem resolution for issues related to information systems use and implementation within the user department.
•Analyzes testing needed to assure the functionality and integrity of system enhancements. Works with department super user to develop testing scenarios. Tests or oversees testing of application functions. Evaluates testing results and takes corrective action as necessary.
•Provides ongoing analysis, maintenance, and technical and functional support for Meditech application modules as well as any other vendor systems. Identifies system deficiencies and analyzes system problems and solutions. Independently comes to conclusions and implements corrective action.
•Maintains an expert knowledge level of regulatory requirements regarding information systems. Assures compliance with regulatory and professional standards in area of responsibility, including: staff training, data base design and maintenance, data integration and transmission and security and confidentiality
•Formulates system scope and design objectives through research and fact finding to configure vendor maintained systems or develop and modify in-house system.
•Prepares detailed specifications from which vendor systems will be configured and/or programs will be written.
•Participates in the on-call 24x7x365 and hospital off hours rotation for I.T. department.

As a member of our high performing team, this position provides program oversight and extensive training to our hospital based 4+ 1 NAACLS accredited Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science program. Must be familiar with educational methodology, administration and accreditation/certification procedures. Candidate must have three years experience in CLS/MT education that includes teaching courses, managing and conducting learning experiences, student evaluation, curriculum development, input in policy and procedures, program evaluation. MT (ASCP) or CLS(NCA) certified generalist technologist is required for this position. Master’s or PhD required.
The successful candidate will review, plan, develop, recruit, interview and register students to the program and evaluate the effectiveness of the EHCMTP program. Will be responsible for the NAACLS accreditation requirements for the program, coordinates and administers clinical laboratory education programs and in-service programs for staff. Designs and implements program admissions criteria. Prepares, develops and monitor program budget to ensure compliance within fiscal restraints. Develop and maintain program curriculum making changes and updates as necessary. Facilitates training programs for students from affiliated programs. Interacts with program participants, facilitating and encouraging questions and discussions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological science. Other bachelor’s degree will be accepted if graduated from an accredited school of medical technology if science and math course meets requirements of certifying agency.
EDUCATION EXCEPTION: A bachelor’s degree may be waived for a medical technologist who was MT (ASCP) certified in the years prior to the bachelor’s degree requirement by the ASCP and a HEW/HHS technologist certified by Health and Human Services. Five years of medical technology experience which must include four years in a supervisory capacity. Certification or eligibility for certification by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP) or categorical, MT (HEW), MT (HHS), MT (AMT), MT (NCA), CHT (ABHI). Certification must be obtained within 18 months of cumulative employment as a medical technologist in the state of Georgia. Exception: HLA technicians must be certified within 18 months of completing 12 month training period.

Purpose/Position Summary:

4. Processes orders and accepts payments.
5. Cooks and stores food at required temperatures; labels, dates, and rotates all products in accordance with company standards.
6. Performs food preparation duties in accordance with company standards.
7. Maintains cleanliness of area which includes trash removal, dishwashing, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables, countertops, food prep area, display cases and equipment and stock supplies as needed.
8. Follows safe food handling and proper hygiene practices.
9. Adheres to workplace safety standards for operating and maintaining equipment and reports any equipment malfunction to management immediately.
10. Performs opening and/or closing side works according to established checklists.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
