As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist, you spend most of your day utilizing your excellent communication skills as you interact with a diverse population of students, teachers, specialists, parents, and colleagues to improve the lives of the children you work with. You provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students based on their IEPs/504 plans. Conducting evaluations, assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports, you determine the strengths and areas of concern in speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.
In order to support students in their overall educational improvement, you assist in developing treatment plans (IEPs/504 plans). Helping students become successful in a school setting and beyond through speech-language therapy, is meaningful work that builds a rewarding career. PHIs critical care extenders provide 24-hour, on-site coverage to some of the highest acuity patients in the nation while delivering exemplary care.
Key Responsibilities of Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners on the Cardiac Critical Care Service include:
- Provides direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients within institutional guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patients physician.
- Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s)
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon patients clinical status
- Within the credentialing standards of the Hospital, inserts and manages arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, temporary pacemakers, and intra-aortic balloon pump catheters.

- Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patient.

Atlanta Medical Center is Seeking a Full Time Respiratory Therapist
The Registered Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for medication administration and implementing respiratory care based on expanded knowledge, experience, and the evaluate-and-treat process. The RRT 2 is responsible for delivering patient care in complex, multiple problem-patient care situations. The majority of time is in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management, significant independent decision-making and selfdirection.

The RRT 2 is responsible for providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of population specific needs. The Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath/EP Lab is responsible for performing a wide variety of clinical procedures requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. The nurse is responsible for providing patient care with an understanding and awareness of age specific needs. Addresses the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and patient/family education needs in providing care to the patient and family.
The nurse is able to independently perform job functions.

About the role
This role is a key part of the Milford Road Alliance. The Alliance is a combination of both the NZ Transport Agency and Downer NZ staff based in Te Anau whose sole focus is the Milford road. This includes the avalanche control programme, road maintenance, Homer tunnel management and incident response. The Avalanche Technician will be a Downer employee but dedicated to work within the Alliance team to aid the effective management of the avalanche control programme to;
Ensure safe operating of the Milford Road Avalanche Control Programme with forecasting, meeting contract compliance, HSE Act and Works’ Safety Quality and Environment frameworks and standards.
The Avalanche Technician provides expert support to the Alliance Manager to ensure that a safety culture of avalanche awareness is maintained through training, system management and industry standards
Outside the avalanche season activities will focus on repairs, maintenance and improvements to the assets, facilities and equipment associated with the avalanche control programme It is also expected that some work on the road will be undertaken during periods of low work activity (both during and outside the avalanche season) to develop a relationship with the road maintenance crew.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
Have an MSc in Avalanche Safety Management (Stage II) / NZ Cert in Avalanche risk management Level 6
Previous avalanche forecasting experience, ideally holding a lead role
Experience in rescue techniques providing training for assistants & volunteers
Certified Handler / Controlled substance license – explosives, flammables - use and varied experience
Helicopter experience – able to safely access mountains and variable terrain
Drivers License – D endorsement
First Aid Certification
