The Post Anesthesia Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The PACU RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The PACU Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Surgery. The RN PACU is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the area. The Post Anesthesia Care Nurse communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. This Post Anesthesia Care RN is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications:

Your mission:

You will provide excellent, thorough dental hygiene procedures in a professional, yet friendly, manner. Concentrating on ensuring that the patient is educated about the various procedures they need both in the hygiene and doctor chairs. Rapport with our patients is of major concern, while providing excellent dental care.

Specific responsibilities & duties:
  • A patient made comfortable while having the procedure performed
  • Digital X-rays fully taken loaded in computer and readily available for Doctor's diagnosis
  • Very well done dental hygiene procedures performed using EMS Piezo equipment
  • A happy patient who is efficiently seated and dismissed
  • A clean operatory
  • An orderly chart containing x-rays, various administrative documents and full records of all procedures carried out
  • Pointing out and explaining various other dental work the patient may need
  • Using Caesy educational videos to educate the patient

Required qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of full time work as an RDH
  • Periodontal experience with a periodontist highly preferred
  • Must be able to work the hours stated above
  • You must be CPR certified and be licensed in the State of GA.

Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Georgia - Excellent Salary & Signing Bonus!!

Medical Center has opened a search for a pediatric hospitalist who will join the pediatric group. The schedule is seven on and seven off. Regarding the seven days on, the Hospitalist will be responsible for all pediatric calls which include mommy calls, ER, nursery and inpatient calls. All pediatric admissions are the responsibility of the Hospitalist. Presently, we average 5-8 admissions to the medical floor per week, an average of 17 newborns per week and anywhere from 5 - 25 mommy calls per night. Medical Center also transfers 3-4 NICU babies per month to Savannah. Medical Center is a Level 1 nursery with excellent supporting staff.

The selected candidate will be an employee of the Health system and can expect a $90,000 retention bonus and a beginning base salary of $190,000 with incentives.

We pay for all relocation costs and our benefit package is exceptional. Malpractice is $1/3 million with a $10 million umbrella.

There are probably very few rural hospitals/systems like us in the country. Over the last several years we have gone from 350 employees and one specialist to 1,150 employees and 30+ specialists.

The primary function of the Weekend RN demonstrates clinical expertise in nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, and advanced proficiency in technical skills necessary for developing, providing, and coordinating care to patients.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Graduate of an accredited Diploma.
-Associate Degree or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
-Preference is given to individuals with Baccalaureate Degree.
-Oasis certification desired

LICENSURE:
-Must have current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing and a current valid Driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-2 years current homecare experience.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS:
-Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other funding source regulations as applied to home health care services.
-Demonstrate knowledge and competence in advanced practice nursing skills, including the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team.

TRANSPORTATION:
-Must have valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
-Extensive traveling and working in patients’ homes in various conditions and environments.
-Highest risk is in terms of personal safety regarding on-road travel.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
-Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop or laptop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

  • Teach patients and their care givers to achieve the highest level of independence possible in self-care and monitoring of their infusion therapy  
  • Assess the patients’ condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals
  • Collaborate with physicians and pharmacists on the patient plan of care and treatment, communicating status changes and implementing new orders as received
  • Establish trust and build therapeutically effective relationships with patients and their families

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) of practice and others as requested
