Applicants for this position must have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting as a Dialysis RN.
We want an RN who has Dialysis RN specialization and is willing to take a position in Atlanta, Georgia. This job requires travel to the designated city. The salary for this job will include travel costs and be much more than a local nursing assignment. We are seeking an experienced nurse who can start working quickly. This will require an applicant to begin our online application right away. You can get started with our application process by clicking on the green "Apply Now" button displayed above. You will find out that the Voyage application process is the most professional, and efficient process you have come across in the travel industry.
This opportunity might also be a great position for nurses attempting to locate a job near Marietta, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Alpharetta and Stone Mountain.
Travelers can experience a flexible schedule, freedom to choose from quite a few contracts and adventure. Travel nurses can select their assignment location and hospital, and they get a chance to work in exotic locations at prestigious hospitals. Since many RNs are seeking a quality life style, the capacity to choose is vital. To a great extent, travel nurses have the ability to be in control of their schedule. Quite a few of our travelers have been working in travel nursing in excess of 10 years and have intentions to continue traveling for quite a while.
If you are a medical professional who is looking for a fantastic salary, choices in your schedule, and exciting locations then a travel career may be suitable for you. So how can you start?
Prepare For The Various Process Steps
Prior to getting started with your travel career you should do several planning. Ensure that your RN license is up to date along with your immunization and health records. Your CV should highlight your nursing skills and experience and you should have several reference who can be easily contacted to vouch for you.
After you have worked with your recruiter to locate several assignments you have an interest in you should be prepared for a telephone or Skype interview with your employers of interest. During the interview, you should ask about things of importance to you like scheduling, patient to nurse ratios, mandatory skills, and so forth.
State Licensing Prerequisites
Getting an RN license in a particular state can commence before having an assignment lined up. If you have a few states where you are considering working you can begin the licensure process beforehand. There are a few states that take over a month to process, like, California, New Jersey, and New York. Many other states will quickly process RN license applications, often in a few days.
There are several states where you can secure your RN license in one day, simply by showing up at the state nursing board directly.
The process of securing an RN license will be much more straightforward if you have a license in a state that is a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact, that has 25 states as members. This compact permits nurses to practice in any of the 25 compact states. Your recruiter will give you a hand in getting a license in your chosen state. Voyage has licensing specialists who will help you.
Your Area Of Expertise
Each hospital maintains its own policy, but normally you need a year or greater of solid experience in your area of specialization to be considered.
Even though requirements vary between facilities, you can start to apply for travel positions once you have a year of continuous experience.
Keep in mind that several specialties, like Cardiac ICU and Psychiatry may require greater than two years of experience.
Versatility
Coupled with your skills and expertise it is imperative that you have the ability to be flexible. This is surely an important prerequisite to be a successful traveler.
You should be amenable to several sorts of hospital practices, procedures, and locations in order to obtain additional skills as part of your travel experience.
Although your first choice may have been an assignment in Hawaii, you shouldn't allow a fantastic opportunity in a different location slip away. Many assignments have a length of thirteen weeks, so you can always attempt a different location after the assignment is finished.
Job References and Skills Checklist
A vital part of your application is your set of clinical references, and you should make certain they are readily available prior to the time you apply for a job. Your clinical skill set can be validated by your references, normally you should at least have three of them.
A travel nurse will usually be required to fill out a skills checklist coupled with their references..
Once your recruiter has your skills set and references she can start to search for positions that are relevant for your skills. When you have decided to accept a job we will help you take care of any added details such as immunizations and drug testing.
