The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the dialysis facility and the supervision of all nursing personnel in order to ensure a safe, efficient dialysis treatment for all patients.



Responsibilities

  • Oversees the review and evaluation of patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's CQI program and the individual clinic's requirements
  • Develops and implements standards of care, providing patient care in accordance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI's CQI program and the individual clinic's requirements
  • In collaboration with the Education Coordinator plans for and provides the training and assessments of patient care staff
  • Coordinates the implementation of the DCI, CQI and Risk Management Programs with the Quality and Risk Manager
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director, Social Worker, Dietitian, Charge Nurses, Technical Managers, Staff Nurses and Technicians on any specific problem of patient care including selection of modality
  • Actively encourages and helps maintain open and free communication between staff, administration, physicians and patients
  • With the Clinic Operations Director and Medical Director, integrates unit activity as they relate to patient care, staff education, research projects and unit expansions
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the clinic's policies and procedures and applicable laws





Job Requirements:

  • A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing Program is required
  • Must possess a current Nursing License in the State of Georgia
  • Six months experience in dialysis is required, twelve months preferred
  • Strong leadership and proven supervisory experience desired

* Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.

* Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.

* Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

* Leads Pharmacy Department inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.

* Assists and supports Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in analyzing and seeking to improve pharmacy financial, customer service and inventory performance data; reviewing Rx KPIs with Store Manager and Healthcare Supervisor.

* May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services, Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.

* Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.

* Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance

* Coaches pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the correct use of processes and tools in order to drive efficiency within the pharmacy.

* Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.

Training & Personal Development



* Maintains PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.

Basic Qualifications



* PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).

* One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.

* Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.



Preferred Qualifications



* Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.

Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.

* Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.

* Strictly adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.

* Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.

* Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.

* Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

* Leads Pharmacy Department inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.

* Assists and supports Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in analyzing and seeking to improve pharmacy financial, customer service and inventory performance data; reviewing Rx KPIs with Store Manager and Healthcare Supervisor.

* May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services, Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.

* Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.

* Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance

* Coaches pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the correct use of processes and tools in order to drive efficiency within the pharmacy.

* Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.

* Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

* Maintains PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.

* Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager and acquires continuing education credits. Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.

Basic Qualifications

* PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).

* One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.

* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico).

* Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

* Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.

* Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring and weighing medications).

* Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line).

* Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.

The Express Technician is an entry level technician who is responsible for performing the basic maintenance of customer vehicles. This position requires exceptional teamwork and the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks.  This is an hourly paid position.

  • Assisting the PT in carrying out the following therapeutic interventions designed to meet the patients’ long term goals: Posture training, strengthening exercise, endurance/cardiac training, balance exercises, coordination exercises, joint mobility and muscle lengthening, pain relief, functional skills training and community re-entry training.
  • Training patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Demonstrating use of gait, belt, and safety awareness, as well as demonstrating proper guarding techniques.
  • Ordering and instructing patients in the use of prescribed equipment.

Qualifications

· Certification through AMMA is preferred but not required

· BLS certified

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
