The client is seeking a Registered Nurse who will give life to patients in an Acute Hospital setting. The RN will have responsibilities such as -

  1. work autonomously alongside the hospital staff to assess, troubleshoot, and make sound decisions for critically ill patients.
  2. work within a variety of settings (ICU, CCU, ER and more).
  3. deliver acute nephrology care across multiple renal therapies.
  4. deliver dialysis to patients at a particular hospital or group of hospitals.
  5. provide emergent, lifesaving care during on-call shifts

Required qualifications :-

  1. Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing, OR a 3-year Diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted).
  2. Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  3. Experience with assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situations.
  4. Physical Requirements: pushing/pulling large hemodialysis machines with little or no assistance.
  5. Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

Qualifications preferred, but not required :-

  1. Hemodialysis Nursing experience in an acute or chronic setting.
  2. Medical/surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit, and/or Emergency Room experience.
  3. Certified Nephrology Nurse, Certified Dialysis Nurse, and/or Certified Hemodialysis Nurse.

Skills :-

  1. Critical care thinking skills.
  2. Nursing skills & knowledge for patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities and/or acute conditions which require unique treatment plans.
  3. Ability to work on your own almost all of the time.

Work Schedule :-

  1. Must be in commutable distance based on on-call requirements.
  2. Willingness to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime required due to the nature of the acute treatment.
  3. Work long days without notice.
