General Responsibilities include:
• Instruct didactic year students, participating as Course Director as directed
• Evaluate, revise, and coordinate didactic courses
• Participate in simulation and lab activities throughout the curriculum
• Participate in the evaluation and development of curriculum
• Participate in committees at the department and college levels
• Participate in service learning activities while supervising students
• Mentor and advise physician assistant students
• Participate in scholarly and research activities; maintain CME requirements
• Participate in ongoing accreditation and Self-Study activities
Position Requirements:
• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program
• Current NCCPA certification
• Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Eligible for licensure in Georgia
• At least 3 years or more of teaching or clinical experience
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Adept interpersonal and communication skills
• Skillful problem-solving capabilities
• An ability to work effectively in a team environment with faculty, staff and administration
• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
