Pharmacy Technician – Cycle Fill

Oversees the execution of cycle batches in order to deliver a complete, accurate and clean cycle exchange.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):
• Prioritize cycle batch work in order to meet delivery deadlines
• Maintain data entry records for cycle medication fill
• Generate, communicate, and audit cycle fill reports
• Request and process cycle medication orders needing renewal
• Data entry new cycle orders and refills for transitional fill
• Collaborate with billing team and data entry to communicate exceptions for cycle medications
• Package cycle prescriptions according to facility preference and standards
• Maintain cycle fulfillment areas and related equipment
• Monitor delivery dashboard to ensure all prescriptions due on cycle run are complete
• Must be able to meet multiple deadlines and juggle competing demands
• Communicate inventory needs to purchaser to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders
• Maintain a list of facility-specific cycle needs (a detail of exceptions or considerations)
• Serve as back-up to daily runs as needed
• Assist in counting quarterly physical inventory
• Work weekends as needed
• Responds to request for overtime as needed to support the needs of the business based on queue management to ensure runs leave as scheduled
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Education and Certifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
Skills and Qualifications:
• 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
• Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
