Job DescriptionAt KMS-Technology, an Onshore Tech Lead - FHIR (FHIR Tech Lead) is responsible for working closely with healthcare customers serving the provider, payer and healthcare independent software vendor spaces. The FHIR Tech Lead role will require working with clients and the internal onshore/offshore delivery teams in meeting the delivery goals. Strong communication, organization, problem solving skills and technical architecture knowledge are the key requirements for this role. Ideal candidates will need to have an acumen towards process improvement and automation.
This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is a contract position with the possibility of full-time hire after 6 months.
The position of FHIR Tech Lead will have the following responsibilities:

Working with customers to establish development priorities, design, and execution

Onshore/offshore coordination of daily and sprint level engineering goals with the developers and testers

Discovery and validation of payers and clinical systems FHIR APIs

Development and configuration of new payer and clinical systems integrations.

Transformation for incoming data feeds into FHIR formats.

Investigations and analysis of ad-hoc requests (i.e. missing data, missing patient information, throughput drop-offs, etc.)

Monitoring of production infrastructure and critical alerts, respond accordingly to ensure up-time
Location:United States, Eastern Time Zone (REMOTE)
Term:6-month contract with the possibility of full-time hire at the end of the contract

SKILLS:

Skilled in Agile Software Development Process skills including requirements gathering, user stories, and use case analysis

Skilled in communication, offshore tasks coordination, leadership, interpersonal and negotiating

Skilled in oral and written communications (MUST be able to speak and write English)
KNOWLEDGE:
-
Knowledge of the US-healthcare systems integrations and intricacies of workflow and process

Deep understanding of the HL7 and FHIR technical specifications (from an architect and developer perspective)
EXPERIENCE:
-
3+ years of Healthcare Industry interoperability experience (HL7 and/or FHIR).

5+ years of experience in Java, Spring, Git, CI/CD tools, SQL
-
2+ years of experience working in an onshore-offshore delivery model.

Experience with healthcare data such as patient level data, claims data and provider data.
EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Communication, or Information Systems
