We are seeking a motivated and friendly Medical Assistant to join our team of medical staff at our Health Choice Urgent Care centers in the Greater Atlanta market. If you are a motivated, caring professional who puts the patient first, you are the right person to join our team!
Roles and Responsibilities
Our Medical Assistants are critical to the successful operation of our clinics and patient health. As an Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for direct patient care including greeting and assisting patients, checking in and out patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, triaging patients, orthopedic splinting, phlebotomy, IV starts and injections, CLIA Waived Lab testing, administer oral and injectable medications, collection of specimens, and processing patient payments. The centers are open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree from an accredited medical assistant program required.
- Medical Assistant experience in a medical office, urgent care or emergency department preferred
- Medical Assistant new graduates will be considered
- RMA or CMA Certification preferred
- Knowledge and proficiency with EMR systems preferred
- Experience with insurance providers preferred
- Previous medical office experience a plus
