Registered Nurse for Outpatient Clinic in Atlanta Georgia

Tues-Fri, 4 day work week, 10 hour shifts
no weekends, no holidays
Fulltime, Direct Hire Permeant 

Experience:

• Prefer minimum of two-year work experience, preferably in an infusion center or in critical care. Knowledge of medical terminology and good spelling skills.

• Able to multitask.

• Some computer skills.

• Able to stand for long periods of time.

• Courteous telephone skills.

• Able to handle stressful situations.

Essential Functions:

• Functions within legal limits and scope of the nurse practice act in Georgia,

• Completes patient care /support in all areas before during and after infusion procedure.

• Responsible for initiation and completion of electronic medical records, including follow up calls.

• Answers patient questions regarding any part of the infusion process.

• Attends staff meetings as required.

• Communicates all pertinent information to patients, other staff members, charge nurse and physicians.

• Complete knowledge of Block time Infusion Lab scheduling

• Ensures a safe environment for patients, self and other staff members.

• Communicates any scheduling problem to Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse and Physician.

• Investigates, intervenes and reports any problem situation to appropriate supervisor.

• Responsible for maintaining equipment.

• Communicates any needs to Charge Nurse regarding supplies.

• Operates and troubleshoots Infusion equipment.

• Operates and troubleshoots Epic software.

• Accountable for narcotics, drawing up of, administration and count in accordance with nursing policy.

• Assists with the orientation of new employees.

• Maintains all privacy and HIPAA regulations.

• Accepts direction from charge nurse, nursing manager, or physician.

• Maintains flexibility and performs other duties as required as the need arises.

• Reports commission/omission of errors to nursing supervisor.

• Initiates and maintains IV, administers IV sedation under the direct supervision of the physician.

• Assists in facility logs and record keeping such as temperature, eye wash etc.

• Assists initiates and administers emergency care in any given situation.

• All RNs will be cross trained as needed.

• Additional duties as assigned by Nurse Manager, Charge nurse
