Job Description:
You are:
An experienced commercial equipment lease and loan Documentation Specialist with strong verbal and written skills, a penchant for problem solving, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while meeting appropriate deadlines and benchmarks.
You will:
Collaborate professionally with sales representatives and potential customers to gather due diligence information and documents timely.
Adhere to and modify with management approval a comprehensive/accurate document process to insure proper documentation and collateral position perfection as a prelude to closing and funding for various business and asset types.
Review organizational documents to identify and assure the proper authorization to indebt the entity.
Prepare accurate legal commercial equipment lease and loan documents, including all underwriting conditions precedent and covenants as outlined by approving officer(s).
Assure that proper property, casualty and liability insurance is placed on equipment at origination.
Determine completeness of documentation and ensure all documents and requirements of funding and booking are met.
Follow up on outstanding requirements due from lessees and vendors to ensure funding timeframes are met.
Ensure all agreements and other applicable negotiated documentation is stored in the database.
Ensure that all lease and loan documents are accurately executed prior to timely funding.
Properly search and perfect senior positions in collateral taken through filing of UCC-1 filings, vehicle titles and liens, and other methods of security.
Your background:
As a Documentation Specialist, you have:
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with prior experience in the equipment finance or commercial equipment leasing industry. Paralegal background a plus.
Understanding of lease/loan structures and corresponding documentation preferable.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills interacting with customers and potential customers during initial meetings and throughout the credit underwriting, documentation, funding and reporting processes with ability to establish rapport and solid relationships with external & internal customers, and business partners.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage complex transactions, and work within tight deadlines.
Strong communications skills, including verbal (especially active listening and negotiation skills) plus clear writing skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Attention to detail is a strong character trait.
Significant skills with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Hot Docs, Rapport and InfoLease a plus.
