MISSION

The Charge Nurse is responsible for constantly monitoring the patient and work-flow to keep the Ambulatory Surgery Center functioning efficiently, while leading the registered nurse team effectively.

OUTCOMES

In a fast paced, high-volume work environment, be able to lead an effective team who will accurately identify clinical information, symptoms, and take appropriate action in a timely manner.

Use independent judgement to deliver sound clinical decisions for the patient and organization, while simultaneously meeting patient needs and adhering to facility policies and procedures.

Creates a positive and motivating environment for patients and team members to enable effective feedback and direction to colleagues and appropriate patient/ family education.

Disseminate the appropriate tasks to each member of the team in a clear, compelling, and objective manner including daily assignments, schedules, and medication protocol.

Able to give and utilize feedback to encourage learning, while remaining self-aware regarding their own actions and resulting impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing

Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:

2 years of nursing experience

Credentials/Licensures:

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Georgia OR

Current Compact Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Georgia

Current BLS certification

Current ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:

3+ years of nursing experience

Experience in the operating room setting

Experience in Urology/Urogynecology setting
