• Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
• Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
• Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
• Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system.
• Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
• Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
• Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and participates in company’s CE offerings and annual re-credentialing process.
• Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
• Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
• Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Biomed’s formulary management program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma. Some college credits preferred.
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
• Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
• Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
• Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent sterile compounding technique
• Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
