Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy to excel in a complex, high impact customer service role and positively impact the lives of others. Responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions and formulary changes. Additional responsibilities include resolving and entering incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained including functions not limited to production, shipping orders, refill reminders, inventory control, customer service, register work. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation and problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.
As part of the Specialty Mail Order team, you will play a crucial role in helping others on the path to better health and your work will be directly affect the lives of others. In order to be successful in this role you must use your superb communication skills to contact doctor’s offices and insurance companies to ensure in the accuracy our patient's specialty medication orders, translate prescriptions and utilize your sig code knowledge, have excellent data entry skills and ensure all financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment
Guaranteed 40 hours per week and we are open 7:30am- 7:30pm Monday - Friday. The schedule will not include weekends or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA.
